Text & Canon Night: How we Got the New Testament

If you have ever wondered how the God-inspired pen wrote the New Testament, how the church discerned what was God-inspired, and how it has been preserved and translated; we have the perfect night for you!

Join us as we hear Dr. Peter Gurry drop some scholarly wisdom on us.

Dr. Gurry is an Associate Professor of New Testament at Phoenix Seminary and the Co-Director of The Text & Canon Institute. He serves as an elder at Whitton Avenue Bible Church in central Phoenix. He joined the Phoenix Seminary faculty in 2017 and teaches courses in Greek Language and New Testament literature. His academic interests range across the history and formation of the Bible, Greek grammar, and the history of New Testament scholarship. He has written for popular and academic outlets, published four books, and presented his research at conferences in the US and Europe.
