Purim Celebration

Join us for a Purim Celebration as we near the end of our series in the book of Esther! You may be asking, why are we as Christians celebrating Purim? Here are a few reasons:

  1. The celebration is for our inheritance of faith because the Jews were preserved.

  2. It reminds us that there has always been opposition in the world to people of faith.

  3. It reminds us that the faithful will triumph in a faithless world.

  4. The celebration reminds us, from the story of Esther, that no matter how dark things get, there is reason to hope.

  5. It is a call for us to reawaken to our faith and shun the constant call of the world and culture to assimilate away from Jesus and toward the false gods of the world.

  6. Purim reminds us of how formative and valuable traditions and liturgies are.

  7. Purim reminds us that even when it feels as though God is absent, He is fully present.

This is a celebration for the whole family! Breakfast and hamantaschen cookies will be provided, so please RSVP if you plan to attend.
