It was probably around 2 in the morning in the middle of December. My third son, Wesley, was just under two months old and I was rocking him back to sleep in his room. Ever since having children, I've always been overwhelmed by the idea that God became a baby. The God of the universe, who made all things, stooped down to become someone so helpless.While I rocked my son that night, I began to write this song in my head. It wasn't just a baby born in Bethlehem that day, but the love that all creation longed for.
