All of Life Night Recap: September 2016

One of the most humbling and exciting experiences a church can have is seeing God at work among diverse places and peoples. At our first All of Life Night on September 17, Redemption Arcadia was able to clearly see how God is continually proclaiming His Name among His people from Somalia. This specific night was aimed at developing our relationship with the Somali American United Council (SAUC). We shared stories and Somali food, and were able to deepen our connection with the refugees who came as well as the entire SAUC organization. Even our children were able to participate in games and activities to learn more about the refugees’ diverse culture. We also learned how to get involved with the SAUC's tutoring, ESL, and Women’s Empowerment Ministries.I was overwhelmed with how gracious God was in providing for and blessing this night. He exceeded my expectations for how many people would not only attend (over 150 people) but also volunteer to serve the guests. One of the most beautiful images I took away from the night was that of full tables of diverse peoples laughing and talking together. This is what the Body of Christ should look like! How wonderful that we get to have just a small taste of what that will look like in Heaven.

“Let the peoples praise you, O God;let all the peoples praise you!Let the nations be glad and sing for joy,for you judge the peoples with equityand guide the nations upon earth.”Psalm 67:3-4
